Most tulsi tea uses one variety because it is easier to source. The three differ genuinely: Rama is soft and clove-like, Krishna is peppery, Vana is lemony and wild. Blended, they cover more ground than any one of them does alone.
We grow all three behind the mill, dry them in shade to protect the volatile oils, and blend them with dry ginger over a light Kangra green.
